CMC is launching its inaugural guide, 2009 Fundraising Guide – Chinese Private Equity Managers (the “Guide”), the first guide of its kind in the market that aims to provide LPs with a detailed and exclusive overview of Chinese fund managers (or “Chinese GPs”) that are fundraising and/or planning to fundraise in 2009.

The Guide consists of two main sections:

•   China Private Equity Overview – provides research insights, data analysis, and discussions on several key topics of the current and future state of the China private equity market

•   Chinese Fund Managers – fund managers will be classified and listed under different asset classes based on their investment stage and strategy

Unlike a directory of funds, the 2009 Guide provides an opportunity for each Chinese GP to highlight the most important and relevant facts that are required data by most LPs for their first screening.

Each GP listing costs US$2,200 or HK$17,200.  It includes the following:

•   One-page Fund Fact Sheet – summarizes all the pertinent facts of the fund including team, target fund size, fundraising timeline, track record, portfolio companies, etc

•   GP-Specific Questionnaire – with 8-10 questions tailored specifically to each GP’s situation, the Questionnaire is designed to capture GP’s answers to LPs’ first screening criteria such as team experience, stability, cohesiveness, and fund manager’s differentiations, etc

•   Fund logo, and one photo and biography of the key founder or principal

•   Five free bi-monthly updates to LPs – bi-monthly email updates will be send to LPs on any new development of fund managers include current fundraising status, new portfolio investments, new exits, etc. These updates are sent out in March, May, July, September, and November of 2009
